17 Nov Claire Perry supports POWERful Women
On 1 Novembe
r 2017 16 energy company CEO’s/NED’s discussed gender diversity in energy with Claire Perry, Minister for Climate Change and Energy (BEIS) at the Corinthia Hotel in Westminster.
Each participant offered to do more to increase gender diversity in their companies and key themes included sharing good practice, the importance of role models, flexible working and career-breaks, the role of executive search firms, transparency and benchmarks and the importance of encouraging girls in STEM.
We hope to host future events with the Minister to help move the dial on the numbers of women in middle and senior management and in leadership in energy and encourge companies to become supporters and sponsors and to work closer with us. A roundtable session with the D&I and HR leads in some of our most engaged companies, supported by Accenture will take place on 23 November 2017.
