POWERful Connections event with PfW Ambassador Nina Skorupska – 4th October, London
This month we were delighted to host a stop on the whirlwind tour organised by the Global Wind Energy Council for their Women in Wind. The Global Leadership Program week-long European study tour took eight wind power professionals from seven countries to Berlin and London for meetings, conferences and interactions with government officials and senior business leaders.
On their final day, the eight women joined Nina Skorupska, CEO of the Renewable Energy Association and POWERful Women Ambassador, for a POWERful Connections Breakfast, part of our mentoring scheme that provides aspiring women in energy with career support. It leverages the incredible expertise and experience of leading women like Nina in our sector – to offer practical advice, guidance and inspiration.
Over croissants and coffee, Nina spoke about the power of personal branding and gave tips on building networks and achieving career goals. It was a great discussion and the group agreed that the most powerful networks were those built on shared values and a common purpose. They left fortified and motivated not just to face a busy final day but also – we are sure – to fly off into highly rewarding careers in energy!
