Launch of annual statistics on female representation at the top of the UK energy sector
11 June 09.00-10.30 BST
Location: online
On the morning of Wednesday 11 June, we published our 2025 statistics on the number of women in board, leadership and middle management positions in the UK energy sector.
The report launch was livestreamed online, with a panel of speakers responding to the latest picture of female representation in the industry – suggesting what can be done to accelerate progress.
The launch was free to attend and aimed at diversity changemakers and women working in the sector – company leaders, line managers, DEI professionals, business influencers, male allies, and everyone open to learning and advocating for change.
About our Annual State of the Nation
For this important annual event in POWERful Women’s calendar we once again collaborated with Bain and Company to benchmark the largest 100 UK energy on their gender diversity.
Publishing this data encourages accountability and drives faster, more tangible progress towards a gender-balanced UK energy workforce, with the diversity of skills and experiences necessary to drive the energy transition.
With five years to go to reach our 40% target for women in leadership and middle management roles, we’ll be identifying the gap that still needs to be filled.
And our speakers shared practical recommendations for the actions that make a difference.
