Welcome to the POWERful Women team!  

 

Based at the Energy Institute and with the support of the POWERful Women Board, we manage PfW’s day-to-day activities – from events and mentoring to research, communications and engagement with companies, government and like-minded organisations.

Georgina Worrall, Head of POWERful Women

Georgina joined POWERful Women in November 2021 and oversees the management of the initiative. She works closely with the POWERful Women Board, energy CEOs and energy D&I Leads on the strategic development of the initiative and ensuring gender diversity remains on energy company agendas.

 

Outside of POWERful Women, Georgina is a founding member of a wider cross-sector EDI initiative, Tackling Inclusion & Diversity in Energy, has been a member on government energy sector taskforces, and speaks at external events on the importance of gender diversity.

Anna Stanford, Communications Consultant

Anna has been managing communications for POWERful Women since 2018. Now a freelance consultant, she has worked in external and public affairs in the energy and environmental sector for over 25 years, including as Head of Communications for the global RES Group, and has advised various companies and trade associations on communications strategies. 

 

When not working, Anna is an ambassador for Save the Children and campaigner on climate and nature. She also loves swimming, the arts and watching Arsenal.

Grace Kimberley, Senior Project Officer

Grace joined POWERful Women as a Project Officer in February 2020, having previously worked in Digital Marketing for an energy job board.

 

As Senior Project Officer, Grace is responsible for managing some of POWERful Women’s key projects including POWERful Women’s 10th Anniversary Dinner, the Women’s Energy Network Alliance and POWERful Women’s Ambassador programme.

 

In her spare time, Grace is an activist and musician, who enjoys playing racquet sports.

Brilla Sesay, Administrator

Brilla joined POWERful Women in February 2024 as Administrator, leveraging her experience in  website management, social media, and email marketing. She is a collaborative team player specialising in all things admin and communications. With an MSc in Media & Communications and a BAh in Creative Writing, Brilla brings a wealth of expertise to her role.

 

Outside of POWERful Women, Brilla actively participates in freelance and volunteer initiatives specified for the advancement and visibility of women, and individuals from foster care experienced backgrounds.
