The POWERful Connections mentoring programme expanded some years ago to also offer breakfasts for women in mid-management in energy looking for professional growth and career development. In a format that’s proved successful and useful to our network of aspiring women, a POWERful Women Ambassador and/or POWERful Connections Mentor hosts a breakfast meeting for approx. 5-10 women in energy, focusing on a theme, for an 1.5 hours.
These sessions have included topics such as ‘How to tackle imposter syndrome’ and ‘How to become an Non-Executive Director’, which was so popular we decided to cover it again!
If you are a woman in energy with 10 years’ work experience, 5 of which are in energy, and you are actively seeking or interested in becoming a Non-Executive Director, Joan MacNaughton can help.
Joan MacNaughton is on the board of Heathrow Airport Holdings Ltd., Heathrow Airport Ltd., The James Hutton Institute and Est (Holdings) Ltd. and Chairman of The Climate Change Organisation and Council Member at the University of Warwick.
She previously occupied the position of Chairman at Climate Group, President of Energy Institute, Member-Governors Board at Argonne National Laboratory and Chairman-Governors Board at International Energy Agency. Joan was also one of POWERful Women’s founding Board members. A long-standing champion and supporter of POWERful Women, we know just how passionate and dedicated Joan is to increasing female representation at the top of the energy sector.
On 14th June Joan will be hosting a virtual teams meeting to help you become a Non-Executive Director.
