POWERful Women seeks to advance the professional growth and leadership development of women in the UK’s energy sector.

Our key themes are Campaigning and Reporting, Supporting Women in their Careers and providing Practical Support for Companies. Our annual conference is the forum for the top UK energy companies to engage with POWERful Women and their peer companies and individuals in those companies, to knowledge share and learn “what works well” in gender diversity.

Our workshop format is designed to help companies better implement D&I strategy leading to better gender diversity and inclusion. If you are working in a UK energy company and influencing the diversity and inclusion within it, and you are interested in attending our conference please register your interest below.

This year’s Conference, previously scheduled for 6th and 7th October, has been moved to later this year. The new dates for the diary are 30th November and 1st December.

This decision was taken for a number of important reasons, including event clashes and staff changes at PfW. And scheduling it after COP26 also now allows us to reflect on the outcome of those important global climate talks and what’s next for creating an effective net zero workforce by accelerating diversity and inclusion.

The event will be split into two half-days:

Day 1 (30th November) will be a high level plenary session featuring discussions with energy company CEOs, regulators and the UK Energy Minister (tbc).

Day 2 (1st December) is an invite-only workshop format designed to help companies better implement D&I strategy that leads to improved gender diversity, equality and inclusion initiatives and progress. If you are working in a UK energy company and influencing the D&I within it, and you are interested in attending, please register your interest below.

We will be publishing a programme soon but for more information about the kind of thing we will be covering, visit last year’s Annual Conference 2020 page here.
