POWERful Connections Breakfast with Jo-Jo Hubbard – 17 February 2021

Last year, we asked our audience which types of POWERful Women events they would like to see more of, to which many of you cited “more POWERful Connections Breakfasts“.  So, we’re pleased to announce we are planning yet another breakfast with a senior woman in energy and career thought-leader. Our next breakfast, taking place on 17th February 2020 from 08.30 – 10.00 GMT will be hosted by Jo-Jo Hubbard, CEO and Co-Founder of Electron, an energy technology company unlocking value in decarbonising energy systems by enabling granular, market-based interactions.  The breakfast will help you to navigate change, earning and claiming a point of authority and pushing things forward in a traditionally slow industry.  Jo-Jo will continue our recent focus on resilience and the session one of our ‘How to..’ blogs will follow for those that weren’t able to attend.

Jo-Jo started her energy career in the early days of the renewable build-out on the asset financing side before transitioning into Cleantech VC. In 2015 she joined the international strategy consultancy firm McKinsey & Co, where she focused on digital transformation. Here, she understood that the full decarbonisation and transformation of the energy sector will not happen without new, shared digital infrastructure and marketplaces that incentivise cooperation. This provided the basis on which Electron was founded.

She is a frequent keynote speaker at energy and technology events, sits on advisory boards for several UK utilities on digital transformation and community trading models and writes for national publications on these topics.
