08 Oct Inclusion Week 2019
Inclusion Week (23 – 27 September) was a great opportunity to remind ourselves and our network of the value of moving from unconscious bias to conscious inclusion – and the support available to companies for the journey. During the week we took to social media to share statistics and signpost our followers to a number of useful resources, including:
- Women Ahead’s Inclusion & Diversity Summit, including 12 TED-type talks, now available digitally (£) – details here https://vimeo.com/362763872
- The Energy Leaders’ Coalition first anniversary report – inspiring case studies from the UK energy sector, showcasing companies who are working on moving to conscious inclusion http://powerfulwomen.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/PfW-ELC-Anniversary-Report-May-2019.pdf
- Our updated briefing ‘Why gender diversity is important for business’ to help anyone to make a powerful business case for better gender balance in their organisation. With new evidence and references, this is available as a downloadable pdf and also printed copies.
And as a follow-up, we went along to support Equal Engineers at the annual Equality in Engineering conference on 4th October, where there was much thought-provoking and useful material on inclusivity as a whole across the industry. It’s worth checking them out.
As ever, get in touch for further support or guidance.
